This time we are preparing an artificial campfire. The installation does not literally imitate a real fire; it is made of painted wood, papers, foils, & branches. The object will be surrounded by stones and illuminated by spotlights placed inside. Additional effect will be done by smoke machine. 

The campfire is a part of Kashanti’s performance. Kashanti is the szu szu’s creation of a music band singing experimental sea-shanties. We will sing our songs and we will try to involve people to participate in our show. All participants could sit around the campfire and sing with us. Kashanti will prepare and distribute a special songbook with lyrics and illustrations.

We are going to create alternative possibility for spending time together in a public space. A campfire reminds old-fashioned camps characteristic for a countryside, an artificial fire gives opportunity to make it happened in an urban space too.
